We’ve teamed up (again!) with Oxford-based record label Fat Possum Records—and good pals to the record store—to press up a limited, blue-vinyl version of RL Burnside’s album, Mississippi Hill Country Blues.

Preorder your copy now right here! Strictly limited to 200 copies.

This is our second exclusive with Fat Possum. Check out our first–Junior Kimbrough’s All Night Long–right here, which sold out almost instantly.

Our goal with these exclusive versions is to introduce the hill country blues to our customers and in many cases to re-introduce this music to fans—while also presenting a unique package for such important records.

We’re excited to be partnering with Fat Possum Records on this project. The blue-vinyl exclusive of Mississippi Hill Country Blues is limited to 200 copies and available only at The End of All Music in Oxford, Mississippi and in our online shop

More about the ablum:

“It’s a pleasure to hear R.L. Burnside’s early acoustic blues played the way he learned them in the hill country of Northern Mississippi. These 16 tracks were recorded in the early ’80s by Swingmaster operator Leo Bruin in Groningen, Netherlands. This is Burnside playing solo (and mainly) acoustic country blues with the only addition to his guitar and voice being the harmonica of Red Ramsey on “Rolling and Tumbling.” While you can’t go wrong with the purchase of any Burnside recording, these Swingmaster sessions portray a natural relaxed unaccompanied Burnside.” -AllMusic
