We’re kicking off the end of winter with a new ripper from our pals and Oxford’s own, Bass Drum of Death. The band’s latest album, Say I Won’t, is out now on Fat Possum Records. The record was produced by Patrick Carney (of the Black Keys) in Nashville and finds the band in glorious, power-pop territory with the same punk edge our ears have been accustomed to with Bass Drum of Death’s guitar riffs and garage-rock melodies. It may be the band’s best album since debuting on Fat Possum in 2011 with GB City–a classic at this point.
“Bursting with raw energy and renewed vigour.” -Uncut
“With Say I Won’t, Bass Drum of Death evoke the sweaty album rock of the ’70s, infusing it with an undeniably raw and sultry immediacy all their own.” -AllMusic
